<note>Radio communication technology is very demanding for a variety
of antenas that are easy to make, low prices, and can also work as needed.
In this study cross yagi antenas that operate on dual band frequencies,
namely VHF frequency 145,880 MHz (uplink) and 435,880 MHz
(downlink) to support radio communication technology, especially voice
repeater on satellites. The type of material used to make this antena is
aluminum ALKAN type with an external thickness of 12.7 mm, 9 mm and
6 mm.
The purpose of this final project is to design and create dual band
yagi antenas on VHF and UHF frequencies to obtain return loss
parameters VSWR 5 dB,
and directional polaradiation.
The measurement results from this study indicate that the antena
has been successfully operating at frequencies of 145,880 MHz and
435,880 MHz, has return loss values --21.77 dB and -17.21dB, with
VSWR 1.17 and 1.31, and frequency gain 145,880 at 15.04 dBi and
frequency 435,880 at 17.46 dB, with directional polaradiation.
