Politeknik Caltex Riau memfasilitasi jaringan internet untuk sarana&#13;
aktifitas perkuliahan, jaringan yang diberikan berupa jaringan kabel dan&#13;
wireless. Jaringan yang diberikan dikelola oleh bagian PUSKOM. Saat&#13;
ini PUSKOM hanya memonitoring penggunaan jaringan yang ada di&#13;
Politeknik Caltex Riau. Untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan dan kualitas dari&#13;
akses layanan internet dilakukan pengukuran terhadap traffic jaringan.&#13;
Dari hasil pengukuran menggunakan Etherscope Series II didapatkan&#13;
nilai throughput 47,307 KB/s packet loss 0,15%, menggunakan&#13;
wireshark didapatkan nilai throughput 158,4 KB/s packet loss 3,67%.&#13;
Radius signal strength akses point PCR dalam kategori baik berkisar 3-&#13;
35 meter diukur menggunakan Aircheck Wi-Fi Tester dan Wi-FI&#13;
Analyzer.&#13;
